Artist Profile

Born in 1982 in Ulaanbaatar, she graduated Mongolian University of Arts and Culture in 2005. she is adept at utilizing contemporary transforms of traditional Mongolian culture and Buddhist art to address issues of knowledge generation. She questions popular values by repetitively appropriating the colors and shapes of traditional cultural symbols, and examines themes such as politics, wealth, nature, and human relationships by placing secular society in the world of the gods.

Awards / Exhibition history

She received Grant from Krasner-Pollock Foundation, USA in 2015. Her group exhibitions included in 8th Asia Pacific Triennale at Queensland in Australia in 2015; Ducumenta 14 in 2017; 2nd Yinchuan Biennale in MOCA Yinchuan, China in 2018; Bangkok Art Biennale in 2020; 11th Asia Pacific Triennale at Queensland in Australia in 2024; Shared Horizons: 15th Bienal De La Habana 2024-2025, Caribbean Tribal Space, Havana, Cuba in 2024.
