The Japanese painter Yukihiko Kurihara was born in 1951 in Kitaterashima, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
After graduating from the Japanese Painting Department at Tama Art University, he studied under the Japanese painter Toshio Matsuo.
He often depicts bird-and-flower paintings and seasonal landscapes.
In his studio in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, he keeps birds and animals, using them as subjects for his work.
His paintings, created through meticulous observation, combine high realism with soft, calm colors.
